Brief Biography
Jose G. Robledo holds a BSc. in Communications and Electronic Engineering from the CUCEI University of Guadalajara and a Master in Administration from the CUCEA University of Guadalajara. His Master degree was achieved in May 2007 with the thesis research work “Group Decision Support System that uses 2nd order information”. From 1993-2009, he worked in the Department of Engineering Projects as a systems Manager. Since August 2009, Jose started his PhD in Information Technologies under the direction of Dra. Laura PLAZOLA ZAMORA.
PhD Thesis
Title: "Model to validate quality of data sources in ubiquitous crowdsourcing context".
Abstract. Gathering data by a crowd-sourcing method through the use of ubiquitous computing is a relatively new approach for acquiring and processing data related to real issues such as vehicle traffic, epidemic spread and in general incidence of alerts. A concern that arises when data is acquired by this manner in order to be used to feed a decision support system is to ensure that data collected complies with certain quality criteria. This work proposes the use of a model to validate the quality of data sources through mechanisms of redundancy, trust and reputation in order to meet the set requirements.
